The Writing Center Has Moved

The Writing Center has a new location!

Over the winter break, the Writing Center moved to the first floor of the library into a designated space where we can meet with students one-on-one. Students can now see the Writing Center receptionist on duty at the library service desk to ask questions, schedule or reschedule an appointment, log in for their appointment, or find out if a consultant is available for a walk-in appointment.

We also have our Speech and Presentation Service, where students can practice their speeches, receive assistance and recommendations for using visual aids, and receive feedback on individual and group speeches and presentations. For questions about the service or to schedule or log in for appointments, students can see the Writing Center receptionist on the first floor. Appointments will continue to take place in room 418, on the fourth floor of the library.

We also continue to have help available via our online service at Coming soon this semester is an instant messaging option for students to “Ask A Consultant” during our hours of operation, allowing them to IM or text a consultant to receive quick answers to their composition questions.

Our spring 2019 hours of operation are:

Monday – Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Friday: 10:00 am – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: noon – 4:00 p.m.

We look forward to seeing you!
